| funding a brake dyno for verifying claims of upgrades? I've been considering adding a brake dyno to my shop for awhile now, but due to the cost haven't made the purchase. I've worked with a handful of different dynos testing OEM engines for reliability, performance, etc and designed a basic dyno for myself. I have a cad model of a steady state dyno I designed, and the ability to fabricate everything myself (except for the major parts). I also have a lot of Z software, spare ECU's, and the electronics to set up and tune engines (with the right sensing). My idea was to use my engine and establish a baseline stock power curve, then start switching out parts and documenting the results. What I don't have: -Tons of spare cash (because... cars as a hobby is expensive) -Access to all the upgrades (they would have to be borrowed for the cause) What would you get out of it? -Information Just wondering if any members, or vendors would be interested in donating to the cause... I've seen TTnet crowd fund tons of other projects... Of course any local people, or people willing to freight an engine over, would be welcome to use it for testing, tuning, or on-stand break in
